The data controller for Beer Control is Giulio Mollica, developer and operator of the service. For any question about this policy or your personal data, use the Contact us page.
To create and operate an account we collect the username, email address and password you provide at registration (the password is stored hashed, never in plain text).
Everything you enter while using Beer Control — recipes, brews, inventory items, equipment profiles and tasting notes — is data you provide yourself to use the service, and is treated as personal data linked to your account.
If you subscribe to Beer Control PREMIUM, payment is handled entirely by Stripe, acting as Merchant of Record. Beer Control never receives or stores your card details — only a Stripe customer/subscription reference used to keep your account's PREMIUM status in sync.
We keep basic technical logs (activity and error logs) to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service, and messages you send through Contact us.
We do not process any special category of data (Art. 9 GDPR).
Data is processed to: provide the Beer Control service you signed up for; process PREMIUM subscription payments through Stripe; respond to messages sent via Contact us; keep the service secure and diagnose errors; and, only with your consent via the cookie banner, understand aggregate usage through analytics.
Processing is based on the performance of the contract between you and Beer Control (providing the account and features you use), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and functioning, and — for analytics cookies only — your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time.
Account and brewing data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion (from your Profile page, or via Contact us), your account and associated data are removed following manual review of the request.
Personal data is not sold or shared for advertising purposes. It may be shared with service providers strictly necessary to operate Beer Control: Stripe (payments, acting as Merchant of Record) and our hosting provider. These parties process data only as needed to provide their service to us.
Beer Control uses cookies for login and core functionality, and — only with consent — for analytics. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
Under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR you can access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, use the Contact us page.
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Beer Control evolves — for example if analytics or new integrations are introduced. Please check back periodically.
